Owing to the close proximity of many competitions in the month of March 09 such as the SAA All Comers Meets, National School Cross Country Championships 09 and SPH Open Relay Championships 09, the Organising Committee of the Akira Swift 56th Annual Track and Field Championships 09 had decided to postpone the Championships to a later date, most likely to the 1st week of June 09.
